I agree with the comment that I think Stephen Black will become the next Raven King. If you compare the lives of the two people, they have planty of parallels. Also, once Stephen kills the gentleman, he becomes king of Lost Hope. And probably all the other holdings that the gentleman had. This already gives him a pretty firm footing in the fairy world. Comments?
That does seem to make sense, but I can't help but think surely this is too predictable. I wouldn't have any objections to that plot line - I like Stephen Black - but why does there need to be a new Raven King considering that the old one is still around?
Maybe you need a new Raven King to usurp the old one? Maybe Stephen will become a kindlier Raven King than the original...not so dark and terrible.
Kind of sounds like a Star Wars type thing....in The Return of the Jedi we learn that if Luke had struck the emperor down, he would have completed his transformation to the dark side because he would have succumb to his hate...at least I think I remember that.
